Centre for Knowledge Societies, CKS Consulting Pvt. Ltd. (www.cks.in) is an innovation consulting firm, specializing in user-centered research and design in multiple domains, such as healthcare, m-commerce and finance, telecom, and home decor, amongst others.

This posting is regarding an immediate job opportunity with CKS for a colour and home decor trends project. The aim of the project is conceptualization and execution of set design, by interpreting design themes developed by CKS for a market leader in the realm of colour and decor in India, to be used at their launch events that would be organized across multiple locations in the country.

Job Title: Graphic Designer

Location: Bangalore

Project Start Date: December 19^th, 2011

Project Duration: 2 months

Employment Status: Project Contract

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor or Masters degree in any one of the following design disciplines – Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts.

Required Skills

Graphic Designer

-     Must be able to interpret and translate design themes to create graphics/ backdrops for inventive, experiential and interactive spaces.

-     Must be proficient in graphic design softwares such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Corel Draw, etc.

-     Should have good typography and layout skills.

-     Prior experience in designing graphics for stage/ sets, visual display and/or retail design is desirable.

-     Exceptional time management and production co-ordination skills.

 

Design Intern

Students currently in their final year of course in any of the above mentioned design disciplines, and possessing all/any of the skills outlined may apply for an internship.
